Enforcement of These Rules and Regulations
  1. Neither the BOD, the Association, nor the Water Safety Chairman shall have the sole responsibility for enforcement of these rules and regulations. It is the responsibility of all lake users to help and aid in the enforcement of these rules and to assist in improving the safe enjoyment of the lake.
     
  2. The owner(s) of each lot on Grandview Lake shall inform all those persons who shall use or operate any boat on Grandview Lake belonging to such owner(s) or that is registered to such owner’s(s) lot of the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations, and shall be responsible for the use and operation of any boat on Grandview Lake that is registered to such owner(s) so that it is operated or used in compliance with the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations.

    The BOD shall have the right to suspend the rights of any person to use of Grandview Lake for any period up to but not to exceed six (6) months during a period of time as established by the BOD if such person violates any of the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations.

    The BOD shall also have the right to suspend the rights of any lot owner(s) to use of Grandview Lake and/or the right to suspend the operation or use of any and all boat(s) on Grandview Lake belonging to such lot owner(s) and/or registered to such lot owner’s(s) lot for a period up to but not to exceed six (6) months during a period of time as established by the BOD if any person violates any of the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations while operating or using any boat on Grandview Lake belonging to such owner(s).

    The BOD shall also have the right to suspend the rights of any renter(s) of a lot on Grandview Lake to use of Grandview Lake and/or the right to suspend the operation or use of any and all boat(s) belonging to such renter(s) and /or registered to such renter’s(s) leased lot for a period up to but not to exceed six (6) months during a period of time as established by the BOD if any person violates any of the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations while operating or using any boat on Grandview Lake belonging to such renter(s).

    As used herein, the term "boat" shall include any type of boat, watercraft, personal watercraft, Jet Ski, canoe, rowboat, sailboat, sailboard, iceboat, and snowmobile. As used herein, the term "Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations" means the Grandview Lake Rules and Regulations as have been adopted by a majority vote of all lots fronting on Grandview Lake with each lot being entitled to one (1) vote, or as may be hereafter adopted, amended, or revised by a majority vote of all lots fronting on Grandview Lake with each lot being entitled to one (1) vote. As used herein, the term "BOD" shall mean the Board of Directors of the Grandview Lot Owners’ Association, Inc. As used herein, the phrase "use of Grandview Lake" shall include operating or riding in any boat or being towed by any boat on Grandview Lake.
     
  3. The BOD, the Association, the Safety Chairman, or any other lot owners or persons who are concerned with the writing, enforcement, or management of these rules are not in any way responsible for property damage, loss, theft, personal injury, death, or other problems associated with the use of Grandview Lake, and all persons using the lake, launching area, and dam do so at their own risk and responsibility.
